Mayor Dagadag responds to road clearing after landslide in Lubo, Tanudan

Tanudan, Kalinga – Utilizing his own resources, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag facilitated the clearing of road in Guimuyu, Lubo, Tanudan after the road was not passable due to a landslide this September 27 and 28.

According to John Ryan Awingan, Executive Assistant of Mayor Dagadag, this is not the first time that the mayor has used his personal equipment when government heavy machineries are occupied.

The section of the area cleared is the only road going to Barangay Gaang, Dacalan, and Lubo, which is prone to landslides during rainy days.

“Isu a nu ag-slide ket nagdakkel a slide, haan a lumsot ti lugan ken delikado kadagidiay tao a magna,” he narrated.

This is why the mayor initiated to use his own backhoe and even the labor to clear the area whenever there is a landslide to ensure the safety of the public as well as to prevent motorists from getting delayed or getting hampered in going to places they need to be.

“Gapu ta kanayun a ma-land slide dayta basta pinagtutudo, kanayun met ni mayor a dalusan. Bagi ni mayor ti backhoe ken labor, isunga naawagan a libreng serbisyo ni mayor,” Awingan said, adding that this is among the free services being provided by the mayor.

To ensure secured movement of the people as well as transportation, Awingan added that the mayor’s personal resources are always ready to be utilized to clear the road whenever a landslide occurs.
