'P4.3M generated during CKAPI trade fair in December 2021' - DTI-Kalinga

Tabuk City, Kalinga – During the launching the launching of Kalinga Treasures Fair 2022 held on Monday, February 14 along the national road in Bulanao Centro, Tabuk City, Provincial Director of DTI-Kalinga, Renie Ramos shared the success of Trade Fairs in boosting sales of local products.


Ramos disclosed that the Christmas Bonanza Fair of Chamber of Kalinga Producers Inc. (CKAPI) launched by the Department of Trade and Industry-Kalinga on December 13, 2021 generated a total of P4.3 million in sales.


Forty-six (46) Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) were able to benefit from the CKAPI trade fair, which was deliberately opened to aid their recovery.

Among the local products featured throughout the trade fair include souvenir items, furniture, ornamental plants, souvenir items, wines, foods, among others.


Ramos is hopeful that MSMEs will gain more with the second trade fair called Kalinga Treasures Fair 2022 set up at the said location.


The public is encouraged to patronize local products through the trade fair which will run until February 27, 2022.


Meantime, CKAPI President Regina Madio, owner of PRAJ Pasalubong Center, expressed appreciation to DTI- Kalinga and to the local officials for their support of MSMEs.
