Pasil awards Best Performing Lupong Tagapamayapa 2021

Pasil, Kalinga – The Municipality of Pasil selected the Lupong Tagapamayapa of Barangay Cagaluan in Pasil as Outstanding Lupon, which will be awarded P10,000 cash incentive.


The search for the Best Performing Lupong Tagapamayapa in the said town was institutionalized through the Municipal Ordinance No. 2021-07 authored by the Chairman of Peace and Order Committee, Councilor Ronnie Bawalan.

The proponent of the ordinance intended to recognize the key role played by Lupong Tagapamayapa and Barangay Tanod in maintaining peace and order, despite taking all the risks in the performance of their duties, functions and responsibilities for the municipality.


Bawalan reported that the personnel of Department of Interior and Local Government along with Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Committee on Peace and Order of Sangguniang Bayan had their assessment in March 2022.

Based on the assessment result, Cagaluan garnered 95%, Dangtalan with 84.50%, and Pugong with 83.50%. Cagaluan, according to Bawalan, was endorsed to compete in the regional level.


The top three winners will be given P10,000, P7,000 and P4,000 respectively during the celebration of the municipality’s 56th Founding Anniversary this June 18, 2022.

Bawalan encouraged the champion barangays to continue their best practices.


“Hopefully nga ituloy-tuloy yu daytoy nasayaat nga aramid yu ta matulungan tayo dagitoy constituent tayo. Dagiay barangay nga awan, han a daytoy ti basehan ti sumarunu pay, I encourage you to leave a legacy,” said the councilor.
