Tanudan, Kalinga – In his message during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Improvement of Banneng – Darulog – Bawac Farm-to-Market Road on Friday, April 22, 2022, Vice-Governor Atty. Dave Odiem emphasized the vital importance of road to development and growth of a certain community.
Delivered by his representative, Marymina Odiem, the Vice-Governor said the road provides access to basic services especially the transport of perishable crops such as bananas to nearby markets.
Odiem extended his felicitations to the 479 household-recipients saying, “you are so blessed. Adu ti kwartan ti Pilipinas ngem adu met ti papanan na so dakayo ket nabendisyunan kayo.”
The Vice-Governor then urged the beneficiaries to monitor the implementation and maintenance of the road sub-project as this, he added, would not only benefit today’s generation but their successors as well.
“Daytoy a kalsada, han laeng a para kadakayo tatta nu di ket para kadagiti annak yu, para kadagiti annak ti anna kyu. Forever dayta,” underscored Odiem.
The Office of the Provincial Vice-Governor played a key role in preparing the necessary documents for the release and download of 10% counterpart of Kalinga LGU to the project, 80% fund from the World Bank, and 10% counterpart of Department of Agriculture to the province’s account.
