Young man dies, 3 hurt after car slams tricycle in Isabela

San Isidro, Isabela – Alcohol intoxication and speeding were seen by police as factors in another road crash that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man in San Isidro, Isabela on Wednesday, January 18.


Said accident involving a tricycle and a Mitsubishi Lancer likewise injured three other individuals.

Police said the two vehicles were traversing the national highway in Barangay Quezon, San Isidro when the driver of the car, which was said to have been speeding hit the tricycle.


With the impact of the collision, the tricycle’s passengers were thrown out of the vehicle while the car crashed into the road gutter.


On board the tricycle driven by Hermoso Parallag, 48, were Jay-r Goze, 20; Gilbert Parallag, 20; and Edmar Monte. They are all residing in Casalatan, Cauayan, Isabela.

They were brought to the nearest hospital for medical attention but Monte died while being treated.


Meantime, authorities identified the driver of the sedan car as Jeremie Solomon, 19, a resident of Baluarte, Santiago City.


Solomon was alleged to be intoxicated which may had caused the speeding.
