Baguio's Rising Stars: Young dancers to represent Asia-Pacific in UDO World Championships

Baguio City, Philippines – A team of young dancers in Baguio City will be showing their great moves and swag around the world this coming August in the United Kingdom.

 

The Baguio JKrayonz will be representing not just the Philippines but the Asia-Pacific in the United Dance Organization (UDO) World Championships 2024 on August 14 – 18 in Blackpool, United Kingdom.

 

The UDO World Championships is said to be one of the biggest street dance events in global competition calendar. The competition aims at providing an avenue for dancers of all ages, levels, backgrounds, and abilities to show their creativity and passion.


Baguio JKrayonz was qualified for said competition after placing second in the UDO – Asia Pacific Street Dance Championships in Siracha Chonburi, Thailand on April 5 – 7, 2024.

 

The team’s recent victory in Thailand, meantime, was applauded by the Baguio City Council, which passed a resolution honoring their outstanding skills, determination, and sportsmanship. The local legislators noted these to be worthy of commendation and emulation for individuals who join contested activities.
