Barangay in Rizal Kalinga under lockdown; ECQ requested to be re-imposed

Rizal, Kalinga─Barangay Romualdez in the Municipality of Rizal is placed under lockdown from January 01, 2021 until further notice after a returning resident under home quarantine tested positive with COVID-19.


As reported by Rhu Rizal, Kalinga, the patient is a 20-year-old female from Itogon, Benguet and does not exhibit any symptoms.


Through the Executive Order No. 2021-01, Barangay Romualdez is placed under lockdown as means to mitigate, if not contain, transmission of COVID-19 in the municipality.

Furthermore, the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force IATF shall request the Provincial IATF to recommend to the Regional IATF to re-impose the status of Enhance Community Quarantine in the mentioned barangay.


Local Government Unit of Rizal reminds those who wish to come home to contact their office in advance. Home quarantine is prohibited to individuals such as Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) coming from the red areas.

Protocols to follow:


A. Strict home quarantine shall be observed in all households; movements shall be limited to accessing basic necessities.

B. Social distancing and wearing of facemask shall be observed strictly.

C. In every household, there shall only be one person allowed to go out for purposes of purchasing basic commodities/necessities.

D. If such person purchases outside the barangay where she/he resides, he/she shall secure pass from the office of the barangay where she/he resides.

E. If such person purchases outsides the municipality , he/she shall secure a travel authority duly signed by the PNP-Chief of Police and shall secure a Health Declaration duly signed by the Municipal Health Officer.
