14 beauties battle their way to become Miss Balbalan 2024

Balbalan, Kalinga – Fourteen brilliant candidates representing their barangays are vying for the prestigious title of Miss Balbalan, seeking to succeed the reigning queen, Christine Wylan Wacdisan.

The official bets stepped into the limelight as they received their official sashes on February 29, marking the beginning of their journey towards the crown. Each candidate brings a unique blend of charm, intelligence, and charisma to the stage, representing their respective barangays with pride and determination.

The candidates are Shira Mae Alit Acosta of Ababa-an, Shienne Alunday Duguiawe from Balantoy, Jeanrie Baluyan Bumidang from Mabaca, Janine Alunday Pamilagas from Tawang, Girlie Balais Balangui from Maling, and Christine Joy Cino Bagwingan from Poswoy, and Keana Mae Sagamang Sta. Ines of Gawaan.

Also competing for the crown are Alfa Bea Duggom of Poblacion, Guia Jill Anniban Garrino of Balbalan Proper, Aveena Jashlyn Apayao Codod of Pantikian, Ernie Rosemarie Tebag Bucalen of Buaya, Sheidel Cao-wil Awing of Dao-angan, Hazel Kaye Bugnalen Dagohoy of Balbalasang, and Zarrah Mhae Balangui Luce of Talalang.

On March 8, the candidates mesmerized the audience with their grace, elegance, and talents during the pre-pageant held at the MDRRM Building. Their performances captivated the spectators.

In addition to their pageant preparations, the candidates embarked on a journey of exploration, delving into one of Balbalan's natural wonders—the Magangab Cave. This experience not only highlighted the region's rich natural heritage but also served as a platform for promoting tourism and fostering a deeper connection with the local environment.

The people of Balbalan now await the crowning moment, which is set to take place on March 15 at the KDCM Sports Center. The coronation ceremony will be among the highlight of the Manchatchatong Festival 2024, celebrating the beauty, culture, and spirit of the community.
