Golfers from Asia-Pacific to attend Fil-Am golf tournament in Baguio City

Updated: Nov 9, 2023

Baguio City, Philippines - More than 1,400 golf players from the Asia-Pacific region will be joining this year’s Fil-Am invitational golf tournament at Baguio City Country Club and Camp John Hay golf courses from Nov. 22 to Dec. 20, 2023.

In its 73rd edition, said event is an international golf competition divided into two groups - the regular and senior divisions.

CJH Golf Club General Manager Judson Eustaquio revealed that 252 registered teams are expected to participate in the competition. The figure is higher compared to the 246 teams who attended the event last year.

Eustaquio added that there are 138 other teams placed on the waiting list.

Named after its founder Januario Jesus Atencio, Januarius Holdings Incorporated, an asset management company will be the title sponsor for the tournament this year.

The Baguio City Public Information Office mentioned that this is the event's first title sponsor in six years, demonstrating the event's sustained growth.

To provide an enjoyable experience during the event, BCC General Manager Anthony De Leon, for his part, explained that they have acquired 40 golf carts for the players and additional rooms will also be opened for the influx of visitors.
