Kalinga has new military general: BGen. Iddoba promoted to one-star rank

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Marking a milestone of excellence and committed service to the country and its people, an iKalinga military personnel earned his one-star, making him the newest addition to the roster of generals in Kalinga.


Prudencio Aromin Iddoba, who is from Junction, Pinukpuk, was promoted to Brigadier General, the fourth highest rank in the military, on August 22 at the Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City. BGen. Iddoba was likewise appointed as the Chief of Staff of the AFP Joint Sustainment Command.

The iKalinga new general is one of the six senior officials who received their one-star rank from AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr., in a ceremony held at the AFP national headquarters, according to AFP.


Moreover, there were also two other generals promoted to 3-star and 2-star ranks.


Brawner who is also a Cordilleran, during his remarks, reminded the newly-promoted officials that the high rank bestowed on them comes with a solemn responsibility.


“The rank you carry is a solemn responsibility; each star represents the trust and confidence of our country, our people, and your fellow soldiers. It is a reminder that from this day forward, much more will be expected of you not only in competence but also in character,” he was quoted saying.
