Live-in partners in Tabuk City face drug charges


Tabuk City, Kalinga – A live-in couple in Tabuk City will be answering drug charges after police found contraband at their place on Wednesday afternoon.

 

On March 13, around 2:40 p.m., a team of operatives in the city proceeded to Teacher’s Village in Magsaysay to implement a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Brach 25.


Armed with said document, the police searched the place of the suspects who were identified as 26-year-old woman and 40-year-old man. Both of their names were withheld by the police.

 

The 26-year-old was tagged by the police as a Street Level Individual drug personality while the 40-year-old was described to be a newly identified one.

 

According to the report from PNP Tabuk, the operatives found the contraband which included 8 pieces of suspected shabu estimated to be worth P61,200; suspected marijuana fruiting tops worth P9,600; and drug paraphernalia.

 

The pieces of evidence were marked and inventoried before they were taken along with the suspects to the Tabuk City Police Station.


Tabuk City Police Chief, PLtCol. Jolly Ngaya-an, once again reiterated in a statement they are ‘aggressive in finding and bringing to justice whoever defies the law’.
