Tabuk City, Kalinga - The Philippine Navy officially launched its Mobile Recruitment Program in Kalinga this August 4, 2025, with Governor James Edduba personally welcoming the navy’s team at the provincial capitol in Tabuk City.

Kalinga is one of only seven provinces nationwide selected to host the recruitment activity this year, paving the way for aspiring iKalingas who want to serve the country in the uniformed service to apply with fewer problems regarding travel and expenses.

Leading the recruitment delegation is Lt. Jan Farisha Garcia, officer-in-charge for the Philippine Navy Mobile Recruitment Team-Kalinga, together with Lt. Angeli Lingbawan and ASN Aries Cordero.

The three paid a courtesy visit to the office of Governor Edduba this August 4, before heading to Kalinga State University, where the recruitment activities formally commenced.

Edduba, during the visit, expressed gratitude to the said military branch for choosing Kalinga as one of their few recruitment venues and for bringing the opportunity closer to his beloved constituents.

“We fully support this initiative. We are honored that the Philippine Navy included Kalinga as one of the recruitment hubs. Our administration will provide all necessary assistance to ensure the success of this program,” he said.

The father of the province also pledged logistical support, including venue and transportation needs, as part of the province’s commitment to national service and youth development.

“... We are here in Kalinga to give that choice to young Filipinos ready to serve with honor,” one of the navy officers said in response to the governor.

The Navy recruitment will run until August 12. During said period, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) will be conducted from August 4-9, followed by Neuro-Psychiatric Examinations from August 10-12.
