Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB 15), the tactical unit in the Cordillera region, is now under the command of another iKalinga police with outstanding police track record.

The son of Lubuagan municipality, PLtCol. Joey Jonathan Bagayao assumed post as the new Force Commander of the RMFB 15 on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The RMFB, which has five units across the Cordillera, is responsible for providing support for counter-terrorism operations, civil disturbances, and disaster response.

Bagayao, who was once a Chief of Police in Tabuk City, is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 2003. In his more than two decades in the police service, Bagayao served for various units of the police force, from the Special Action Force to municipal police stations in CALABARZON and MIMAROPA to the PRO CAR in 2021, where he assumed several leadership roles.

In his message during the Turn-over Ceremony, Bagayao noted that his designation as a regional mobile force commander is both challenging and rewarding – challenging because he has to live up to expectations and rewarding because of the experience he will gain from the post.

The iKalinga cop cited that among the things the public and the PNP can expect from RMFB15 under his command include swift and responsive public service, unity and morale within the ranks, and accountability through modernization.

As for the RMFB 15 personnel, Bagayao vowed that as their new force commander, he would stand with them and support them. He added that the personnel can also expect him to lead by example.

“I am confident that with the support of everyone, we will continue the plans, projects, and activities of the unit and uphold the standards of professionalism. Let us continue to be a force to reckon with, always ready, always responsive, and always committed to our sworn duty to serve and protect,” he said, enjoining his subordinates to move forward together with a purpose, strength, and shared vision towards peace and progress.
