Baguio City, Philippines – A proud son of Benguet is set to represent the country on the international stage as Granville Michael Louie Raymundo competes in the upcoming Mister Tourism World pageant in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from February 5 to 12, 2026.

Mister Tourism World is an international male pageant that promotes global tourism, cultural exchange, and goodwill among nations. It advocates responsible tourism, cultural preservation, and youth involvement in tourism development, and is usually held annually in different host countries.

Raymundo is no stranger to the pageantry scene, having competed in several local and regional competitions. He placed first runner-up in Mr. La Trinidad in 2014, went on to win the Mr. Cordillera title in 2016, and most recently earned the crown as Mister Tourism World Philippines (MTWP) 2025.

Apart from clinching the MTWP 2025 crown, he also won two special awards: Best in Tourism Video and Best in Nationalistic Attire, highlighting his commitment to promoting not only Cordilleran culture but also Philippine culture, tourism, and national pride.

Meanwhile, the MTWP representative took to his personal social media account to express gratitude and emphasize that he will take pride in representing the country’s rich culture and traditions.

“I may feel the pressure right now, but I choose to work harder, stay grounded, and trust the process. Together with my team, I am honored to represent our country and showcase the beauty of Philippine tourism rooted in our rich culture, deep traditions, and the warmth of genuine Filipino hospitality. This journey is bigger than me. It’s for our people, our stories, and our pride,” he wrote.

With the support of his community and team behind him, Raymundo’s journey to Mister Tourism World stands as a celebration of Cordilleran pride and a testament to the Philippines’ rich cultural diversity.
