Pasil, Kalinga – In line with this year’s recent celebration of Tourism Month and Civil Service Anniversary, the municipal government of Pasil led by Acting Mayor Venancio Magangat held a clean-up drive to boost the potential tourist destinations and bring awareness on environment's protection

The clean-up team composed of the local government officials along with its employees, Department of Education, Philippine National Police, and barangay representatives of Pugong, conducted the drive at Ginzaland Cottage & River Picnic Site in Barangay Pugong on September 22.

According to Municipal Tourism Action Officer/Designate Pancy Lynette Iddoba, the LGU-owned Ginzaland shall be developed as a picnic and camping site as well as a destination for farm tourism in the near future. Meantime, a cottage was built in the area to serve as a resting place of visitors.

The rebranding and repackaging of the municipality’s tourism industry is underway for the gradual reopening of activities there.

Earlier this year, Municipal Administrator Milagros Batalao assisted the tourism department in visiting potential destinations in the locality.

Included in the list that will be developed and promoted are the practices and intangible cultural heritage such as its famous Slow Food and the traditional pottery of Dalupa and Dangtalan, among others.

The team is working on tour packages and will soon have brochures and ‘coffee table book.’
