Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga youth eyeing a future in the military now have the chance to take their first step right in their home province, as the Philippine Military Academy Entrance Examination (PMAEE) shall be done on September 20-21 at the Kalinga State University.

Earlier on September 15, the PMAEE team, led by Major Ronnie Mark V. Rodriguez, PA, paid a courtesy visit to Governor James Edduba and formally informed him about the upcoming exam.

Along with Maj. Rodriguez were TSG Alberto A. Panahon, PA; SSF Mister A. Pama, PA; SSF Arvin Jay Tanguilling, PAF; and ASN John Joseph S. Villanueva, PN.

Edduba warmly welcomed the team and pledged the full support of the provincial government, assuring them of assistance in whatever way needed during the conduct of the military exam.

The governor later urged the young people of Kalinga to seize this rare chance, not only to chase their personal dreams but also to equip themselves for a life of discipline, honor, and dedication to the country.

For those interested, one can inquire through the official Facebook page of the PMA ( Philippine Military Academy “Face-Bok”) or by contacting 09174688596.

The PMAEE is known as the gateway for young Filipinos who aspire to wear the uniform, serve the country, and one day become leaders of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), perhaps even the future Chief of Staff.

For the iKalingas, the military is a field where they have long proven their worth, as many from the province have excelled in the PMA through the years, bringing pride and honor to Kalinga and the whole Cordillera.
