Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Local Social Welfare and Development Officers in Kalinga convened this June 08, 2022 in Appas, Tabuk City to train on case management guide for insurgent returnees.

The training, according to DSWD, serves as an improved standard for case managers in extending support and services to former rebels, decommissioned combatants and other groups who wish to return to mainstream society.

The LSWDOs are likewise trained to ensure that the returnees will be productive in the locality.

Personnel from the Office of the Undersecretary for Inclusive and Sustainable Peace, Office of Policy Development and Planning Bureau, Program Management Bureau, and others gave light to the theories, transformative approaches and process flow of the case management.

The LSWDOs from the municipalities and the city were given exercises, scenarios and case situations for practical application of the discussed approaches.

Governor Ferdinand Tubban, in his message delivered by Brent Martinez, encouraged the participants ‘to do their best and get the most out of the training and apply them and help in making better for the brighter tomorrow of our children.’
