Tabuk City, Kalinga - Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag was elated having known that Tanudan is among those who will benefit from the P999-M loan of the provincial government for various development projects.

He said that the long aspiration of the Tanudan Municipal Government to provide better medical services will soon be realized with the imposed P40 million share from the P999-M loan.

Mayor Dagadag during the provincial government forum concerning the P999-M loan held on July 14, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the effort of the Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Ferdinand Tubban for sourcing out funds to finance the high-impact projects that are vital in improving the delivery of government services in the province.

Among the high-impact projects listed to be funded by the loan is the completion of the 25-bed capacity Tanudan District Hospital.

“Agpasalamat nak ti PLGU tayo headed by our Governor, Ferdinand Tubban, and of course, Vice Governor Dave Odiem, dagitoy Board Members tayo ken amin nga empleyado ti PLGU,” he remarked.

“Agpaspasalamat nak ta maysa ti Tanudan nga naikkan iti pondo para iti daytoy development iti ili mi a Tanudan,” Dagadag added.

He cited that the provision of P40 million for the Municipal Government is a huge support for the completion of the hospital instead of relying on the yearly P5 million fund allocation from the provincial government that would eventually take more years for the hospital to be finished that would delay the immediate delivery of health services.

“Ket dakkel a tulong diay P40 million a maited panunuten tayo yearly nga adda ti P5 million ket ti nagpatinggaan diyay ospital ket diyay [hospital’s concrete] slab lang sunga okay nak met idiay loan a daytoy ta kaano pay a malpas,” he related.

It can be recalled that the old non-concrete municipal hospital building could only accommodate few patients.

Thus, this new 2-storey building would be the first sizeable hospital built in the locality, situated at Banagao, Barangay Poblacion that will serve the 12 barangays in Upper Tanudan while four other barangays are nearer the city of Tabuk.
