Tabuk City, Kalinga –The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Kalinga has opened its first One Town, One Product (OTOP) store outside the province on November 20, 2025 at the The Travel Store, 3rd Floor, International Departure Area of NAIA Terminal 3, marking a significant expansion of local craftsmanship into a national and global market.

Said store is the 29th branch and is first to be launched outside the province, with all 28 other stores located across Kalinga. The OTOP store feature various Kalinga products including woven textiles, handcrafted accessories, local delicacies, and other cultural items created by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the province.

With the terminal known as one of the country’s busiest international gateways, DTI aims to showcase local artisans and entrepreneurs and expand their reach to consumers worldwide.

“This milestone is historic after establishing 28 OTOP Stores within the province; we now take a bold step forward with a store located outside Kalinga’s borders and at the country’s premier international gateway. Positioned where global travelers begin their journeys, this store becomes a bridge that connects Kalinga’s rich craftsmanship to the world,” the DTI Kalinga page cites.

Furhter, the launch was made possible through a partnership with The Travel Store (The Travel Club PH), a 1992-founded retailer specializing in premium travel bags and luggage, allowing Kalinga products to be showcased to thousands of travelers daily and strengthening support for MSMEs and cultural preservation.

The newly opened store is expected to serve as a strategic platform to promote Kalinga’s unique heritage and generate economic opportunities for communities that rely on weaving and handcrafted production for their livelihood.

Meantime, the DTI Kalinga also opened its 30th OTOP store, the second outside the province, on the same day at The Travel Store, International Departure Area of the Clark International Airport.
