CDA-Regional Director Hwang applauds excellent service of TAMPCO on its 50th Anniversary

Tabuk City, Kalinga—Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Regional Director Marieta Hwang during the Golden Anniversary celebration of TAMPCO lauded the cooperative’s excellent services and continuous operation for 50 years.

In her keynote message, Hwang credits the efficiency and excellence of the billionaire cooperative to the good performance, services, and standards of its members.

The regional director acknowledged the success of the cooperative in enjoining members with more than 42,000 and its business operation performance ‘having P82 million net surplus.’ This, she said, only implies great leadership and cooperation among its members.

“Sa palagay niyo ba, kung hindi maganda ang serbisyo ng cooperative, dadami kayo? Sa palagay niyo ba kung hindi nakatutulong ang coop sa members, may magmi-miyembro? Sa palagay niyo ba kung hindi maganda ang operasyon ng negosyo, kung patuloy itong nalulugi taon-taon, may magmimiyembro?” asked the regional director.

Hwang congratulated all the members for a job well done, adding that the milestone of the cooperative is something to be proud of, especially with the status of the coop having P2.29 billion assets.

The regional director sees the possibility that the biggest coop in Kalinga would soon be the biggest coop in Cordillera and even nationwide.

“We are happy to note that TAMPCO is fulfilling not only our dreams as regional cooperative development but the dreams of your members,” Hwang stressed.

She thanked the cooperative for uplifting the standard of living of the Filipino people, particularly the people of Kalinga, and for 50 years of providing services and sharing best practices.

Hwang lauded TAMPCO for ‘meeting the maximum terms of existence as allowed by RA 6938 and RA 9520, thus granting its registration renewal for another 50 years of service.

Learning in every struggle

The regional director then encouraged the members of TAMPCO to realize that every struggle is an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow.

“Your coop becomes stronger and stronger because you, the member cooperate and help each other. By continuously providing your coop services and complying with your obligations, you are helping each and every member of the coop. May TAMPCO continue to be an influencer and continue excellent operation,” Hwang concluded.
