Baguio beauty crowned Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2022

Baguio City, Philippines – A 25-year-old beauty who represented Baguio City was crowned on Saturday, November 05, as Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2022.


Aliwan, meaning amusement or entertainment, is one of the most popular festivals from across the country, gathering the diverse social celebrations from Luzon to Mindanao in the Star City Complex of Pasay City in a bid to promote and tell the stories behind them to Filipinos and the rest of the world.


With the restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the search, which was among the festival’s highlights, was conducted virtually since 2020. Thus, the ‘Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen.’ It was said that some beauties started their career in national and international pageantry through the search.

Marikit Manaois, who is a degree holder in human resource development, bested the 11 other finalists of the tilt and succeeded in winning the crown. She graduated from St. Louis University and is currently working as a secretary at a solid waste management company.


Next to her title are Maica Martinez of Nueva Ecija and Sophia Noreen Guillermo of Ilocos Norte who were named first and second runners-up respectively.


The new Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen garnered Miss Charm award and likewise got the Palmolive Gandang Natural Award.


As a prize, she received P50,000, with an equivalent amount going to her chosen charity program, and a paid vacation for two at Feliz Hotel Boracay, inclusive of airfare and pocket money.

How will you use your title to support your advocacy?


In the question and answer, Manaois was asked by the judge, “If you were named Alian Fiesta Digital Queen, how will you use your title to support your advocacy?”


The beauty queen answered, “An Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen is a queen with a purpose and if I were to win this title which is Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen, I would take advantage of this platform to be able to talk about the importance and zero waste management and more so the importance of giving back to mother earth. This may be a very challenging role for me, but it is just a small prize for me to pay for the change that I want to make for the world.”


She fitted the adjusted standard of the search.

Manaois took to social media to express gratitude to everyone who supported her along her Aliwan Queen journey.


“Thank you so much po, it’s such a great honor and privilege to be able to represent my beloved Baguio! Mabuhay po tayong lahat!” she stated.
