Entry to Baguio City from bordering municipalities no longer restricted

Updated: Feb 16, 2021

Baguio City, Philippines – Entry of residents from LISTT (La Trinidad-Itogon-Sablan-Tuba and Tublay) towns to the summer capital has been made easier by Mayor Benjamin Magalong after the Order Setting Amended Entry protocols for Travelers Coming to the City of Baguio Under Restricted Status during Community Quarantine was issued today.

Under Section 3 of the EO, it said residents from LISST areas are exempted from the entry requirements such as presenting their health declaration forms, original or certified true copy of their travel order, medical certificate, and other necessary documents required before entering the city.

It could be recalled that BLISST mayors agreed to temporary restrict the non-essential movement of people to and fro their areas on February 1-15, 2021 following the rise of Covid-19 cases in the city.

During those periods, all inter–BLISTT residents before travel or purchase of essential goods and services were required to present medical clearances.

Meantime, public and private health workers entering the city for work purposes or those who cross city borders on a daily or weekly work-to-home and vice-versa basis are no longer required to submit negative antigen or swab results.

Cargo and logistic services for essential and non-essential goods and utilities for water, electricity, IT, telecommunications, fuel products and waste management can also freely pass, but may be subject to random inspection by police officers.

Government agencies and those providing emergency services of humanitarian aid during times of typhoons or calamity shall likewise be afforded unhampered passage.

The region, including BLISST areas have been put under General Community Quarantine Status for the whole duration of this month.
