Five Kalinga municipalities and its city cited having ‘High Performing Peace and Order Council’

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Five municipalities and the city in Kalinga were recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government Cordillera for their initiatives in sustaining peace and order in their respective areas of responsibility.

 

Through its Official Facebook page, the DILG Cordillera announced the results of the 2023 Peace and Order Councils Performance Audit on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Said annual audit is described to be a crucial assessment of the initiatives of the local government units in maintaining peace and order in their areas.

 

Using 85% functionality indicators and 15% development indicators, DILG Cordillera named 65 LGUs in the region as ‘High Performing Peace and Order Council’ for calendar year 2023. The DILG noted that the high performing rate of said LGUs in 2023 is higher with 78.3%, compared to the 69.88% in 2022.

 

Six of these 65 are municipalities and the city in Kalinga – Balbalan, Lubuagan, Pasil, Rizal, Tinglayan, and Tabuk City.

 

“Congratulations to all high-performing LGUs! The DILG-CAR continues to encourage LGUs to continue strengthening their efforts to foster peace and order for a safer and more resilient Cordillera,” the DILG Cordillera wrote.
