Tabuk City, Kalinga – Emphasizing unity, shared responsibility, and perseverance in public service, Governor James S. Edduba called on provincial government employees to work together toward a common direction for a better Kalinga as the Provincial Government officially opened the year with its first flag-raising ceremony on January 5, 2026, at the Kalinga Sports Complex in Capitol Hills, Bulanao.


Speaking before a crowd of employees, Edduba began by reminding everyone that budget proposals are being made this January, stressing the importance of completing all submissions to ensure that projects can proceed.


He also expressed gratitude to the employees for their cooperation and support during the inter-agency Christmas program in 2025.

“I cannot lead this province alone,” the governor said, emphasizing that progress can only be achieved through collective effort, discipline, and unity among government workers.


“Progress is achieved through unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility. That is why I ask for your continued partnership and commitment, so that together we can deliver honest, efficient, and effective service to our constituents.


And with these in mind, for 2026 and the coming years, ket ananusan tayo pay kuma,” he added. Among the major accomplishments of the province, Edduba cited the timely passage of the provincial budget, which he described as the backbone of the administration’s plans and programs, guided by the LUMIN-AWA vision of the provincial government.


Marking a renewed commitment to public service and development, Edduba called for continued cooperation and shared responsibility among provincial employees as the province moves forward in 2026 and the years ahead.
