Lubuagan begins STEP2 National ID registration for 5,350 individuals

Lubuagan, Kalinga-The Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) - Kalinga expects a target of 5,350 registrants from 6 barangays in Lubuagan for their National ID Step 2 Registration.


The individuals were identified with high-poverty of incidence and were assessed during their STEP 1 registration last February 2021.


This sector of society has been prioritized by the government to provide useful information for the crafting of policies and programs to address their needs. Gathering of Demographic Data is known as Step 1 Registration while the Collection of Biometrics Data is Step 2. The issuance and delivery of ID will be Step three. As of July 22, 2021, 144 yLubuagans registered for the Step 2 process at the Lubuagan Eco-Tourism Center in Poblacion.

According to the Focal Person of PSA-Kalinga, Christian Dacpano, their team will be in Lubuagan until August 25, 2021, to assist in the processing of said registration. Under the supervision of Nixon Mendoza, the team will have three encoders, a screener, and an alternate.


“Iti immuna nga plano maysa lang iti agyanan ti registration center ti per municipality ngem gapu ta nag ask dagituy barangay officials nga sikami ti mangiyapan ti registration center ti balay da; tapos in-commit da met nga willing da nga tumulong nagdecide kami (nga aramiden) tapnu han nga sayang ti aldaw nga mangururay dituy sunga indanun mi kanyadan dagiti registration center,” he said. Meantime, PNP-Lubuagan have been tasked to control the queue and to ensure that protocols are followed. No mask, No registration is strictly implemented.
