Manila-based drug dealer with P1.5 MJ in tow, intercepted in Sadanga

Sadanga, Mountain Province – A 21-year-old man from Tondo, Manila who is ferrying alleged marijuana from Kalinga was intercepted by the operatives in Sitio Ampawilen, Poblacion Thursday afternoon, June 3.


The Philippine National Police Cordillera identified the suspect as a certain Rodler Jimenez Cacapit, who disclosed that he is part of a Manila-based drug seller.


Cacapit was riding a bus coming from Kalinga when he was arrested.


The joint operatives stopped the bus while they were conducting intelligence driven checkpoint in Sitio Mamaga, Saclit to Sitio Ampawilen, Poblacion at around 2:30 in the afternoon.



Recovered from the suspect include a backpack containing 12 suspected marijuana bricks with standard drug price of P1,116,000.00 and a traveling bag containing 3 bricks worth P420,000.00.


After his medico-legal and drug test at the Mt. Province Provincial Crime Laboratory, he was brought to the custody of Sadanga Municipal Police Station.


A case of violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Transport of illegal drugs) is now being prepared against him.
