While daily life could be draining with all the work hustles one must accomplish, there is a place in Tabuk City where one can relax and relish in a much-craved nature ambiance without having to leave the city – the JEP Fishfarm and Resort in Laya East.
The JEP Farm and Resort, a farm which is only a 3-minute ride away from the Tabuk City Hall in Dagupan, provides the public a view and sound of nature.
The farm and resort offers a variety of enjoyment and activities for people, like swimming pools that overlook the rice fields, mountains, and creeks. At the same area, there is a place where one can get to watch the sunrise or sunset.
If not in the mood for swimming, the kids can play at the Children’s Park while the others enjoy and busy themselves at the cottages.
Other activities that must be tried at the farm and resort are boating and fishing where guests can fish for ‘tilapia’, ‘hito’, and gourami. These fish are being cultured and bred by the JEP Farm - accredited as breeder of Central Luzon State University tilapia, one of the best and quality breeds in the Philippines.
Meantime, if one doesn’t want to do anything other than to think, there is also a small hill inside the resort where one can be alone with his thoughts with the sounds of birds as his background music.
For leisure activities, people can play golf or simply walk or jog around the area. Additionally, if one craves for fish and duck menu and ‘pancit’, there is a restaurant at the resort which could satisfy these cravings.
The JEP Farm and Resort accommodates overnight stay with their two cabins. Guests who opt to stay overnight to camp may bring their own tent or hire one from the resort.
“Nu stress wennu nababannug ket umay da lang ditoy nga ag-unwind bassit. Haan dan masapul umadayon tapnu maka-relax da, it’s just a 3-minute ride away from the city,” owner Jeoffrey Peralta said.
