Pag-IBIG soon to serve at the Kalinga Provincial Capitol

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Government workers from the province would soon be saving time and money from the usual trip to Tuguegarao, just to access the services of the Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya at Gobyerno (Pag-IBIG) Fund, once said agency will open their office at the Kalinga Provincial Capitol.


The temporary satellite office was recently visited by Pag-IBIG Fund-Tuguegarao Branch Region II personnel namely Josephine Pablo, Lagracir Ilarde, and Ciriaco Vasquez when they came to meet with Kalinga Provincial Governor Engr. Ferdinand Tubban.


Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Ken Emery Martinez explained that, with the authority of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the Pag-IBIG Fund and the Provincial Government Office of Kalinga (PGO-Kalinga) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last January 2021.

The legal officer said that the temporary satellite office, measuring around 5 by 6 square meter (sqm), is adjacent to the office occupied by the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) at the side of Provincial Gymnasium at Kalinga Capitol compound.


Martinez disclosed that the workforce is currently working with the renovation of the office for the needed equipment fitting. The division between the BAC and Pag-IBIG office is also being worked out for the “exclusivity of the area for Pag-IBIG files.”

Pag-IBIG Fund-Tuguegarao Branch representatives said their staff are ready to be deployed as soon as the renovation of office is done.


According to Supervising Administrative Officer Leonida Manodon of Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO), the office will be managed by a qualified individual from Kalinga who was endorsed by the governor and duly trained by the Pag-IBIG Fund.


The accommodation of the office will be shouldered by PGO-Kalinga in an effort to provide easy access to the people as emphasized by the provincial governor.
