Cagayan, Philippines―The 100-bed capacity Cagayan United Doctors Medical Center (CUDMC) has formally opened its doors today, May 7, 2021, to the public to serve basic health services.

“Today marks a very significant milestone for us, as we formally open our hospital operations to everyone. At CUDMC, we are committed to serve and give the best services we can,” CUDMC stated.

Dr. Valeriano Combate, President Board of Directors, assured the public that they will offer affordable prices although the hospital is privately-owned.

Bed capacity for Covid-19 patients

The CUDMC has reserved 20% of its bed capacity for CoViD-19 patients and is exclusively isolated at the 4th floor of the 5-storey hospital. This move is in compliance with the Department of Health (DOH) Administrative Order No. 2020-016.

It was reported by the hospital that the bed capacity for CoViD-19 patients can even extend up to 30% if needed as most hospitals and isolation facilities in the region have now reached maximum capacity.

One of the features of the hospital is the presence of the healing garden on its third floor adorned with beautiful landscape of flowers and foliage of different kinds which would help energize and heal patients.

CUDMC offers more than 80 laboratory services for hematology, clinical microbiology, clinical microscopy, serology and immunology including CoViD-9 antigen and rapid test and clinical chemistry.

The level 2 Cagayan United Doctors Medical Center of Tuguegarao City, Inc. (CUMDC) hospital is located at the Caritan Centro, Tuguegarao City.
