Taking pride in the achievement of the 23 iKalingas, Governor Edduba said Kalinga is known for producing good-natured, disciplined, and outstanding uniformed men and women. He added that he hopes the new coast guards from the province will stand by the national flag in defending the country’s sovereignty.

“Dakkel ti akem yo nga coast guards, especially now that the problems in the West Philippine Sea are becoming more frequent, and many of our coastal waters and fisherfolk likewise need your protection. Work well and show the iKalinga strength and bravery. God will be with you always,” Edduba said.
