Aggressive community testing in Kalinga begins tomorrow

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The one week aggressive community testing in the province starts tomorrow, February 18 wherein 8,105 individuals will be subjected to RT-PCR test.


For the first four days, a total of 5,000 people will be tested in 9 barangays in Tabuk City. This include Barangays Bulanao Centro, Bulanao Norte, Bado Dangwa, Casigayan, Dagupan Centro, Dagupan Weste, Malin-awa, Balawag, and New Tanglag.


The fifth day will be in Pasil wherein 1,205 target individuals from Barangays Cagaluan, Guina-ang, and Maluksad will be tested. Moreover, the remaining two days of the aggressive community testing will be in Lubuagan. A total of 1,900 people shall be tested from Barangays Mabongtot, Lower Uma, Poblacion, Mabilong, Dangoy, and Western Uma.

Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Ken Martinez said that Governor Ferdinand Tubban gave his order to augment assistance to Lubuagan and Pasil should there be more Covid-19 positive cases after the conduct of ACT.


Martinez said that they recommended home quarantine depending on the severity of the case.

As to food supply, the province will also augment, he added.


“In terms of daytoy food supply, adda metlaeng iti augmentation tayo. Nu 14 days, bagin iti barangay iti how many days, bagi iti munisipyo iti how many days, province met kasjay tu metlang, mangted kami metlang,” he said.


For Tabuk City, Martinez further said, should they request for augmentation, the province will accommodate.


Meantime, as of February 15, there are 478 active cases in Kalinga.
