Tabuk City, Kalinga-The Office of the Provincial Assessors urged owners of land, buildings, equipment, and improvements also known as real property owners to have their property’s value be assessed for free.

The assessment is done on properties in order to determine the rate of tax the owner should pay to the local government. The provincial rate under Local Government Code is 1% of the assessed value of the property.

Tax collected shall be used to support the community.

Assistant Provincial Assessor Dario Dumalleg during the “Isangguni sa Ating Gobernador” explained it is one of the mandates of the office to impose no fee in assessing real properties that owners want to declare.

Owners, he cited, only need to submit a request letter addressed to Provincial, City or Municipality Assessors Office.

Upon receiving the request letter, the office shall then arrange a schedule when the assessment will be conducted.

Dumalleg further reminded property owners to pay their taxes on time to be able to take advantage of discounts offered and to avoid penalties.

“Kasapulan nga agbayad da kuma ti tinawen iti buwis da tapnu han da nga maurnungan ta katulungan tayo metlaeng ta diay pondo na ket mapan metlaeng nga agsubli ti barangay, municipalities, city ken probinsiya,” Dumalleg said.

Assistant Assessor recommended owners to proceed at the Municipal or City Treasury Office where their property is located for their payment.

Dumalleg also encourage those who are in need of the approval and history of tax declaration, loans, and declaration of properties to proceed to their office located at the Provincial Capitol from Mondays to Fridays for assistance.
