Tanudan, Kalinga – The oldest person to register for the national identification system in Kalinga is a centenarian from the Municipality of Tanudan.

As of April 30, 2025, a total of 199,279 individuals have registered for the national ID system in the province. This is 86.81% of the total population of the place, which is about 229,570.

According to PSA data, Rizal has the most number of registrants, with 91.72% of its constituents already registered in the system, followed by Tabuk City with 89.86%.

Among the latest registrants is 101-year-old Juana Lutit Baguiyon from Anggacan, Tanudan, who was assisted by the Philippine Statistics Authority Kalinga last month. The 101-year-old is the oldest person enrolled in the system in the province, according to PSA.

Now that she has her national ID, the agency further said that this will facilitate her swifter access to benefits for centenarians in the country.

“This highlights the importance of National ID System in ensuring that all citizens, especially the elderly, receive the services and recognition to which they are rightfully entitled,” PSA Kalinga wrote.
