30-yr.-old man in Cagayan hangs self after live-in partner says goodbye

Santa Ana, Cagayan – A 30-year-old man in Cagayan killed himself after his partner broke up with him.

According to police reports, the deceased, hidden in the name Peping, was found by his younger brother hanging at their house in Barangay San Vicente on Saturday, June, 15.

The young man, after he saw the body immediately sought help from his neighbors and rushed Peping to a hospital nearby. Unfortunately, Peping was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Investigation was conducted later by the police, wherein, the latter’s family confessed that Peping was abandoned by his live-in partner sometime before the incident happened.

They added that he was also drinking alcohol continuously for a week before the tragedy.

Since they believed that the break-up pushed the victim to commit suicide, police ruled out that no foul play happened in the incident.
