Tabuk City, Kalinga – The rich culture, creativity, and enterprise of Kalinga will once again be showcased with the return of the Kalinga Treasures Fair on February 9-16, 2026.

Held annually as part of Kalinga’s Founding Anniversary and Bodong Festival, the Treasures Fair brings together the province’s finest locally made products and creative works, including handwoven textiles and accessories, local food products, innovative crafts, furniture, and traditional music and dance.

The fair is one of the highlights of the 31st Founding Anniversary and 7th Bodong Festival of Kalinga, serving as a vital platform for local entrepreneurs and creative workers to showcase and sell their products to the public.

According to one of the organizers from the Department of Trade and Industry–Kalinga (DTI-Kalinga), this year’s Treasures Fair will feature the Creative Pavilion, along with seven other major components.

The Creative Pavilion is an exhibit space dedicated to Kalinga’s growing creative industries. In this area, visitors and locals alike can explore paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media works, and other handcrafted creations that reflect the stories, culture, and identity of Kalinga.

“The Creative Pavilion highlights the unique crafts, designs, and innovations of Kalinga’s creative industries, such as paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media arts, and other emerging handmade crafts. A special feature of the pavilion will be the Kalinga hand-tapped tattoo, where tattoo artists from Tinglayan will be invited,” the organizer said during a recent committee meeting for the festival preparations.

Beyond visual arts, the fair will also resonate with sound and movement through ‘Rhythms of Kalinga,’ a series of live performances showcasing traditional dances, indigenous music, and bamboo musical ensembles. These performances aim to promote the province’s rich oral and musical heritage while engaging younger audiences.

The fair will also feature friendly competitions, including contests recognizing the best booths and most innovative products.

Meanwhile, the runway will become a cultural stage through “Rampa Kalinga” and the Young Performer’s Fashion and Dance Quest, where Kalinga’s weaving traditions will be showcased through contemporary fashion and dance presentations.

Music enthusiasts can look forward to “Melody Fest,” a segment dedicated to discovering and honoring local musical talents. Advocates of sustainable industries may explore the Bamboo Product Showcase and Information Dissemination, which promotes bamboo-based products and livelihoods among the iKalingas.

No Kalinga celebration would be complete without food. One of the fair’s major attractions, “Flavors of the Fair,” will feature a wide array of local snacks, delicacies, and newly developed processed food products by homegrown entrepreneurs.

“Ditoy ‘Flavors of the Fair,’ addan ti free tasting iti maysa nga naituding nga aldaw tapno maramanan dagiti baro a processed food products tayo,” the organizer added.

This year’s Kalinga Treasures Fair will be held along Manuel S. Agyao Boulevard and shall be spearheaded by DTI-Kalinga and the Chamber of Tabuk City Kalinga Producers Incorporated, with the support of the Provincial Government of Kalinga under Governor James S. Edduba.
