Tabuk City, Kalinga – Gracing the Christmas celebration and Thanksgiving of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office on Friday, December 17, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang motivated all personnel to continue serving and helping the community despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his message delivered by his representative Fernando Cosidon, Mangaoang related some difficulties faced by the public since the onset of the pandemic, including the prohibition on social gathering, loss of income with the closure of establishments, and other restrictions imposed to prevent the possible spread of the dreaded virus.

These, the congressman said, made Christmas 2020 and 2021 unique from the usual holiday celebrations practiced in the previous years but should not hinder the personnel from carrying out their mission to maintain peace and order.

“Adu ti narigat nga sitwasyon nga naglabasan tayo…ngem uray pay nu kasta, masapul nga ituloy tayo latta iti agbiag ken agaramid iti pamuspusan tapnu saan nga agsardeng ti serbisyo ken tulong nga it-ited tayo,” Mangaoang stressed.

Christmas offers fresh perspective; New Year new opportunities

The congressman further underscored that Christmas ‘should offer us a fresh perspective on the values and ideals that nourish and support hope, love, joy and harmony in our communities at large.’

As taught by Jesus Christ to look beyond the senses can perceive, Mangaoang advised Kalinga police personnel to remain steadfast in His promises to be able to ‘face all the things the world may throw at us.’

“Despite these difficult times, there is so much about us, our service to the community and our families today that we should still be thankful for and let us pray that the new year will give us new opportunities, to make up for what the previous year stole from us,” highlighted the congressman.
