Tabuk City, Kalinga - To prevent crowding that may result in the possible spread of COVID-19 during the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days, Kalinga Governor Ferdinand Tubban ordered the closure of all public and private cemeteries including memorial parks from October 29 to November 2, 2021.

Tubban, through said order, cited that this is in accordance with the approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases of the recommendation to close cemeteries to prevent gatherings that may serve as COVID-19 super spreader event.

Further, the threat of the deadly Delta variant remains to be the main concern of the Provincial Government of Kalinga.

Despite the decreasing number of COVID-19 positive cases and the dropping from Critical Risk Level to Moderate Risk Level on the Epidemic Risk Level of the province, Governor Tubban reminds the community not to put their guard down as the virus is still lurking and that anyone could get infected if not protected.\
