2,242 cops in Cordillera promoted to higher ranks

Baguio City, Philippines – The families of the 158 police commissioned officers and 2,084 non-commissioned officers in Cordillera who were promoted have nothing but pride and admiration for their milestone.


In the simultaneous oath-taking, donning, and pinning of ranks held on Monday, March 25, the 2,242 police officers have been promoted to a higher level in line with the Calendar Year 2023 regular promotion and the first quarter of Calendar Year 2024, as cited in a press release by the Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PRO-Cor).

 

The officers successfully passed the vetting process conducted by the PRO-Cordillera Promotion Board.

 

Of the figure, two rose to the position of Police Lieutenant Colonel, eight to Police Major, 46 to Police Captain, and 102 to Police Lieutenant.

 

As for police non-commissioned officers, 101 were elevated to Police Executive Master Sergeant, 194 to Police Chief Master Sergeant, 272 to Police Senior Master Sergeant, 428 to Police Master Sergeant, 897 to Police Staff Sergeant, and 190 to Police Corporal.

 

Regional Director, PBGEN David Peredo Jr., who presided over the oath-taking ceremony, lauded the newly-promoted officers and reminded them of the additional responsibility and accountability attached to their higher rank.
