211 learners from all barangays of Santa Marcela finish early childhood education; Mayor Martinez highlights value of preparation

Santa Marcela, Apayao-A total of two hundred eleven (211) young learners across the 13 barangays in Santa Marcela this year have completed Day Care level, an essential foundation for every learner in town.


The completers comprised 101 boys and 110 girls, gladly marching on the stage with their proud parents during the Municipal-Wide Daycare Moving-Up program held at the EKB Memorial Sports Center on April 11, 2025.


This year’s theme, “First Steps Towards a Brighter Future," stressed the importance of early childhood education as an essential achievement and foundation for every learner toward stepping into another milestone in the learning journey.


Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez, represented by HRMO II Ms. Roselily Ramos, delivered her message, giving inspiration to the attendees, affirming the LGU's continued commitment to supporting and empowering early childhood education throughout the municipality. In her talk, the Mayor lauded the unified efforts of all contributors to the success attained by these young learners.


Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Rolly U. Guiang, emphasized the crucial role of parents in their children's development, enumerating the 3 Cs: Caregivers, Coaches, and Consultants, saying that through love, guidance, and wise advice from parents, children will most likely to succeed in life.


Guest speaker Jenny Vie P. Aguinaldo, Legislative Staff Assistant III, encouraged the completers to dream big and study hard, reminding them that poverty is not a barrier to success. She underscored that listening to their parents, teachers, and family is crucial to their holistic development.


LGU Staff, Sangguniang Bayan members, and local officials were present during the ceremony.
