42 year-old farmer nabbed for raping grade 1 pupil in Bauko, Mt. Province

Bauko, Mt. Province – A 42 year-old man accused of raping a grade one pupil from 2009-2010 was arrested by Mt. Province police in Bauko during their operation from May 17-19, 2022.


The suspect is a farmer, single and a native of Apang Alilem, Ilocos Sur but residing in Monamon Sur, Bauko.


According to the police report gathered by MPBC, the suspect started working as a gardener in 2000 in Upper Bauko and made the heinous crime from 2009 to April 2010.

The suspect was arrested by the joint forces of Bauko MPS, PIU Mountain Province and 1st PMFC Mt Province led by PCPT Nestor Malinias.

Accordingly, he was charged of two counts of rape which is non-bailable,

The warrant of arrest issued to the victim was made by Hon. Sergio Anganay Jr. Presiding Judge of the First Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court Branch 36, Bontoc, Mt. Province.


Following the arrest, the suspect was brought to Bauko Municipal Police Station for documentation before his turn-over to the Regional Trial Court Branch 36, Bontoc, Mountain Province.


Meantime, alongside the arrest, 3 other suspects – 1 from Bauko, 1 in Bontoc and 1 in Natonin facing different cases were also nabbed during the three-day operation.

The 25-year old male arrested in Bontoc is from Sagada and is facing Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Double Slight Physical Injury and Damage to Property while the 47-year old native of Natonin was also under arrest for the crime of frustrated murder.


Meantime, the 31-year old male in Bauko described in the police report as recidivist is arrested by authorities for a case of robbery in an uninhabited place or in a private building.
