Man on probation arrested for selling alleged shabu

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A ‘high- value individual’ under probation was arrested by the police around 1 o’clock PM today, June 17, in Purok San Francisco, Magsaysay after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover cop.

The 42-year-old male suspect, who is a backhoe operator, is currently serving his probation after being arrested in 2019 for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

However, he was brought back to police custody after he was nabbed in a buy bust operation for selling two sachets of alleged shabu to an undercover operative at his boarding house. The drug items have a standard drug price of P1, 360.

Other items confiscated during the operation include the P1,000 buy-bust money and his Android phone.

After inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence with the presence of witnesses from the media and the barangay, the suspect was brought to Kalinga Police Provincial Office.

He will undergo drug test, while the confiscated items will be examined at the Kalinga Crime Laboratory Office.
