6 people injured in 3 consecutive road accidents in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Six people were reportedly injured in three consecutive vehicular traffic accidents in Tabuk City yesterday, Sept. 08, 2023.


Police accounts showed that these road accidents happened within two hours, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Injured individuals were brought to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical intervention.


First incident


The first case transpired around 5:20 p.m., involving an elf and a 10-wheeler dump truck in Bado Dangwa. As cited by Tabuk City traffic investigators, the dump truck’s driver parked the vehicle along the drive lane, when the elf crashed against it.

The elf driver said he was supposed to overtake the dump truck but he retreated upon noticing an approaching multicab. Unfortunately, the vehicle still hit the 10-wheeler in spite of the driver pressing the brakes.


The elf’s passenger sustained a cut on his palm and experienced pain in his left leg.


Second incident

Around 6:42 p.m., two motorcycles – an XRM 125 and a Yamaha Mio 125 crashed along Manuel S. Agyao Boulevard in Bulanao Centro.


The 18-year-old XRM driver and his 16 and 15-year-old back riders sustained abrasions while the 15-year-old Yamaha Mio back rider was also taken to the hospital for an X-ray examination.


Third incident


At about 6:54 p.m., a 19-year-old rider was injured after he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving in Bulanao Centro. He confessed that he came from a drinking session prior to the accident.


The rider was admitted to the hospital.
